Service Description
This one-day workshop will examine the seven components of the communications process, see where each component can break down, and identify the best practices for each component. Learning objectives: Participants will examine and practice the techniques and behaviours required to: • Understand the key elements of successful communication • Identify how communication plays a role in workplace conflict • Establish rapport and get on the same wavelength as the other person • Understand the importance of non-verbal communication • Read body language and choose appropriate body language • Adopt the practice of active listening • Use a variety of questioning techniques • Practice effective communication with staff during times of change • Balance listening and talking effectively to achieve desired outcomes • Give corrective and positive feedback
